I was once completely clueless when in came to defensive firearms. A pie-in-the sky upbringing led me to believe that the authorities would always be there to protect me from the dangers of the world. My awakening began when I was working as part of a federal rescue task force in the Gulf Coast after hurricane Katrina in 2005. I quickly came to realize that at the end of the day, each of us is on our own and needs to be able to rely on our skills and training to fend for ourselves… Sure it’s nice if there is someone to protect you, but chances are, you’ll be on your own if you face an unexpected “bad situation.”
If you believe that your social status protects you from violence, I’ve got a few magic beans I’d like to sell you.
Since then, I’ve sought out the best defensive firearms instructors and schools in the nation. I’ve focused on training that is realistic for a civilian and focused on the defensive use of firearms. What I can tell you is that all the gear in the world won’t do you much good if you are not proficient in its use. Furthermore, gear and training will fail you if you have not developed proper mindset.
Have you come to realize that owning, and more importantly, being proficient with a defensive firearm is an important part of being a responsible adult? If this describes you let me help you get the gear and the training you need to develop a mindset that will make you realize that it is fairly easy to keep yourself safe without changing your lifestyle or becoming paranoid.
